You're sweet like chocolat - A Hotel Chocolat review
Never have I been more excited than when I received an email from the lovely people from Hotel Chocolat. I mean, what girl wouldn't like the chance to "test" a box of chocolates?
I chose the Sleekster Classic Christmas Selection RRP £23.00.
The box itself is stunning, it made me feel all Christmassy just by looking at it. It would make the perfect gift for someone as it even comes with a little card.
The chocolates were a variety of flavours; from the delicious Milk Bauble, containing milk chocolate, to the melt-in-your-mouth Cranberry Cup. Each chocolate was so exquisite and tasteful, you could tell these were made to taste good!
The only problem I had was that they didn't last very long! Once the kids knew I was hiding a box of chocolates that was it! Of course, being the good mummy that I am, I had to share with them :(
The description of each chocolate is very clear and made it easy for the kids to choose which ones they liked (boo!) and which ones I could have they didn't. Unfortunately, that didn't leave me with many, sob! But, I liked being able to share with the ones I love.
Aside from being awesome at chocolate making, Hotel Chocolat are well known for their support to cocoa communities in Ghana and Saint Lucia. Their own Engaged Ethics program has being running for 8 years and allows benefits to the cocoa communities. I like a company looking out for everyone involved in the process, I wish more would follow suit. You can read more on the Hotel Chocolat story here on the website.
With Christmas just a few weeks away, why not have a browse through the website, there are some fantastic boxes on there, all suitable for gifts. Just make sure you buy extra for yourself too!
Disclaimer: We were sent the chocolates for free to review. However, our opinion is 100% our own.

Divine Chocolate Review
*All opinions are my own. I have not been paid or received anything for
this post. The items I have reviewed were part of a prize*
Upon opening my email a few
weeks back, I seen one from Marie Claire Magazine. "Congratulations you
have won a Luxury Hamper of Divine Chocolate treats worth £55 with Marie
Claire". As expected, the kids were very excited about this one! Ten days later the package arrives. Upon opening, the kids were gobsmacked.
2x Dark chocolate with raspberries bars (RRP £2.00 each)
2x Dark chocolate with ginger & orange bars (RRP £2.00 each)
2x Dark chocolate with ginger & orange bars (RRP £2.00 each)
2x Orange milk chocolatebars (RRP £2.00 each)
2x Milk chocolate bars (RRP £2.00 each)
3x Hazelnut milk chocolate bars (RRP £2.00 each)
2x White chocolate with strawberries bars (RRP £2.00 each)
1x box of Dark chocolate Ginger thins (RRP £3.50)
1x bag of Milk chocolate eggs (RRP £4.25)
1x bag of Dark chocolate eggs (RRP £4.25)
1x box of White chocolate and strawberry hearts (RRP £4.50)
Of course, the kids wanted to try a bit of everything, and the Chocolate Bees didn't last very long! They were definitely my favourite!
The girls loved these white chocolate and strawberry hearts. They really were tasty! They made me think of the little favours you get at weddings - and the perfect shape too!
The milk chocolate eggs were gorgeous! Not too rich or sweet, they didn't last long! Again, I let C have the dark chocolate eggs, I'm not too keen on dark chocolate. She said they were like "heaven in my mouth".
So, thanks Marie Claire magazine - it's safe to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our prize!
We'll definitely be visiting the Divine Chocolate Website soon!

A perfect time for a catch up!
Well, that didn't work very well did it? When I decided to start this blog I made a promise to myself that I would keep it updated and post as often as possible. FAIL! I forgot just how busy I'd be in the run-up to this bank holiday weekend.
So, here I am, led in bed, typing this at 00.15am with matchsticks holding my eyelids open! Apologies in advance if parts don't make sense!
I feel like shouting from the rooftops (yes, even at this time!) as my local Football team, Newport AFC were promoted to League 2 tonight! They have been playing really well and it was a fantastic game which kept me (at least) on the edge of my seat! 0-0 until the 86th minute when Christian Jolley put us 1-0 up, followed at 90 minutes with a goal from Aaron O'Conner - giving us the final score of 2-0! I wish I could have been at Wembley to watch it live - I bet the atmosphere was amazing! The team will be having an open top bus tour around Newport tomorrow, so I hope to go and cheer them on then! It's not very often Newport gets recognised, and when it does, it's normally for the bad things. But it's not all bad! So, well done to the lads and better luck next year Wrexham!
I have actually started typing up a review to post about Divine Chocolates - hopefully that'll be finished tomorrow, and I have a little giveaway to sort out too! I'll leave it there for now, short and sweet, with a promise - I'll be back tomorrow!
